	<title>8 Minute Dating</title>
	<description>
Holla @ some 8 minute dating up in here!
The nice thing about 8 minute dating (also referred to in some circles as eight minute dating insanity) is that there is none of the real pressure that often accompanies blind dates you get set up on. When you do the 8 minute thing, you are in a room with a bunch of other singles. Prospective candidates for dating. It is fun stuff. You talk with each one for -- you guessed it, Einstein -- 8 minutes. Not a second more. Then you move on to someone else. After you've met a bunch of available men or women this way, you get to write down who you liked and would like to be set up with, on a real date. If that person also liked you, then the potential for love is there and you may even find lasting relationships. If not, big deal. There was no embarrassment, awkwardness or wasted time!

On a blind date, you know right away whether there is a connection or not, but the problem lies when you have no interest in seeing the person, and are forced to make polite conversation for the whole evening.
With eight minute a.k.a. speed dating, you're able to go by your first impression and scratch the surface a bit before you have to really open up. This way you weed out the people you have no interest in beforehand.
In some respects online dating is very much like this. There are people you chat with and discard immediately to the scrap heap or whatever, and others you just want to learn more about. Those you can pursue!
But, hopeful as this is, if we could offer any advice, it's to holster those expectations.
That's just reality. Go with the flow. Don't be delusional. This is one of our dating tips.
